LookMuse ("LookMuse," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered hairstyle try-on service. This policy covers the information we collect when you visit our website or use our app.

This policy applies to information collected through the LookMuse website and API. It does not cover services operated by others, such as Google or Facebook when you choose to sign in through them - their own privacy policies govern how they handle your data.

Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed password if you sign up directly (we never store your password in plain text), or your name, email, profile picture, and a unique account ID if you sign in with Google or Facebook. An optional display name you add to your profile.

Photos and generated images. Selfie photos you upload to try on a hairstyle, hairstyle reference photos you upload or import from a URL, and the AI-generated "after" images produced from your photos. If you're signed in, these are saved to your account under "My Uploads" and "My Looks" so you can revisit them; if you're not signed in, they're used only for that session and never attached to an account.

AI analysis of your photo. When you upload a selfie, we generate a lightweight, automated estimate of attributes like hair length, texture, and face shape, used only to sort and filter hairstyle suggestions for you. This analysis is never used to identify you.

Favorites. The hairstyles you mark as favorites, if you're signed in.

Cookies. A single first-party session cookie that keeps you signed in. It's required for account features to work and isn't used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

Technical data. Standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser type), collected automatically for security and troubleshooting.

Communications. Anything you send us directly, such as a support request.

We use the information above to:

• Provide the Service - generate hairstyle previews, keep you signed in, and remember your favorites, uploads, and looks.
• Personalize hairstyle recommendations based on your uploaded photo's analyzed attributes.
• Verify your email address and let you reset your password, if you signed up with email and password.
• Maintain the security and integrity of the Service.
• Respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or account data for advertising.

We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate LookMuse:

• Google / Facebook - only if you choose to sign in using one of these providers, to authenticate your account.
• Our hosting provider - to run the servers that store your data and serve the Service.

We don't share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

• Account data is kept for as long as your account remains active.
• Uploaded photos and generated images are kept for as long as your account is active, so "My Uploads" and "My Looks" stay available to you - they are not deleted automatically.
• If you ask us to delete your account (see "Your Rights" below), we delete your account record and associated photos and generations within a reasonable time.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:

• Storing passwords only as salted, hashed values - never in plain text.
• Marking session cookies HttpOnly and, in production, Secure, so they can't be read by page scripts or sent over an unencrypted connection.
• Encrypting all traffic to lookmuse.ai and api.lookmuse.ai with HTTPS/TLS.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to receive a copy of it. You can already update your display name any time from your Profile page, and sign out to end your session immediately.

To request a copy of your data, or to have your account and associated data deleted, email us at privacy@lookmuse.ai. We'll respond to verified requests within a reasonable time - see our data deletion instructions for details.

LookMuse is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
